Lunarez Society

The Lunarez Society is a space advocacy group based in the metaverse, open to all citizens of our planet interested in our future in space. It will provide its members with endless opportunities for space, science and technology related edutainment in virtual reality, and contribute to public awareness of and support for space exploration.

We will soon announce membership plans. In the meantime please consider a donation to the Society. All donations will be discounted from membership fees.

The Lunarez lunar mission project is unique because all members of the Lunarez Society will have the opportunity to participate in the project from day one, as little or as much as they wish, in a virtual lunar environment built in Second Life (later to be expanded to other VR worlds). Technologies like consumer robotics (Lego Mindstorms NXT) and desktop manufacturing (3D printing, or fabbing) will permit all those who want to participate actively contributing to the development of the mission hardware and software. Membership in the Lunarez project is open to all Internet users interested in our future in space. All project meetings and presentations will take place in VR.

Individual membership will cost 80 euros, or 120 US dollars, or 32.000 Linden dollars per year (prices in US and Linden dollars will be adjusted witht he exchange rate). Members will be entitled to enter and participate in all events in the Lunarez workspace. Members will also be able to invite others to the sim for specific events.

We will develop gold and platinum membership program for those members who wish to have their own area in the Lunarez sim. Premium members will have special benefits, such as organizing events and inviting their friends to the sim. Platinum members will have their names and message on a plaque that will be taken to the Moon.
